Thunderbolt: medical associations in France each received $70,000 from Big Pharma
A scandal that deserves very wide dissemination. In fact, a week ago, our media, Lecourrier-du-soir.com, had revealed the huge gifts that Big Pharma offers to French doctors to manipulate public opinion. Our writing was based on a study conducted by The British Medical Journal which revealed that Big Pharma had offered 818 million euros to KOLs, meaning “Key Opinion Leaders”. In other words, influencer doctors who constantly parade on TV sets to advertise drugs.
Lecourrier-du-soir.com does not intend to stop there. Due to the gigantic corruption that plagues the pharmaceutical world and which the media categorically refuse to talk about for reasons that we are totally unaware of, our editorial team has decided to do its job of lifting the veil on the not very Catholic practices of a an industry that no longer hesitates to destroy those who refuse to submit to its wishes.
Indeed, by consulting the study more closely, we learn not only that 818 million euros were offered to doctors to influence public opinion, but not only. Our editorial team was also able to discover the staggering amounts that medical associations in France receive.
Thus, according to the study, in France, almost every medical association has at least one KOL (influencing doctor) who had received one or more gifts since 2014 or 2017. The study reveals that, in the period from From 2014 to 2019, the average value in gifts received by each association is estimated at 61,000 euros (70,000 dollars).
And that's not all. Between 2017 and 2019, the cumulative average value for each association was estimated at 15,900 euros in contractual agreements and 21,900 in remuneration. And please note this: this value may vary from one association to another.
