Hundreds of people gathered outside the headquarters of the French Socialist Party in Paris on Wednesday. The rally brought a heavy police presence to the scene, with security forces deploying teargas against the protesters.

Anti-labor law demonstrators clashed with police, with some throwing eggs at law enforcement.

Around 2,000 people have reportedly taken to the streets this time, planning a nighttime vigil.

The rally outside the ruling party’s offices followed an earlier demonstration Wednesday, when dozens gathered outside the home of French Labor Minister Myriam El Khomri in Paris’s 18th Arrondissement. People briefly protested by the windows of the minister's home before they were pushed back by security forces, Le Parisien reported.

More demonstrations have taken place in the French capital on Wednesday. While protests were ongoing at Paris' Gare du Nord train station, access to the train carrying the Euro 2016 Trophy was blocked "for security reasons" on arrival to the capital.

France has been engulfed by wave of protests - some quite violent – since the government adopted a controversial labor reform. Voicing their opposition to the legislation, many thousands have taken to the streets all across France, but President Francois Hollande has rejected demands to scrap the bill.
