UAE To Keep Unvaccinated Hostage By Banning Them From Leaving Country
Now in order to combat the latest outbreak of the pandemic UAE wants to keep the unvaccinated hostage by banning them from leaving the country. January 10 would witness the closure of the borders of the Emirates which in turn implies that those individuals who remain unvaccinated would no longer be able to travel from the country.
According to local media, unvaccinated UAE citizens would indeed be forbidden from travelling overseas from January 10, referencing the country’s crisis management organizations. Only those who have been completely vaccinated and boosted will be allowed to leave.
On Saturday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, made the announcement regarding the decision, reported Russia Today.
Exclusions may be granted for those who are unable to receive the vaccine due to medical reasons, as well as “humanitarian cases” and visitors seeking medical care overseas, according to the institutions.
The country is anything but the first to impose travel restrictions predicated on vaccination status, however most governments that have implemented so have done this so as to prevent unvaccinated people from entering rather than preventing them from departing.
