Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has urged the International Court of Justice during the meeting in Kuala Lumpur to take measures against the Myanmar junta for atrocities committed against the Rohingya (religious minority) in Rakhine state.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak also attended this meeting, where more than 10,000 people gathered, which caused a negative reaction from the part of Myanmar.

Moreover, the problem of Rohingya is concerned by many countries of this region, including non-Muslim. Earlier the Indonesian authorities canceled the visit of the state adviser of Myanmar and her leader Aung San Suu Kyi, and before that, China has called for an urgent solution to the conflict.
