Japanese Defense Ministry Hacked
The Japanese Defence Ministry has reported that its network, together with the network of the Self-Defense Forces (SDF), was hacked.
Most likely, the data were stolen, but the full scale of the losses is not yet known. The hacking is reported to be carried out very professionally. That’s why the participation of any of the hostile governments is not excluded. Earlier, similar accusations were made in Japan toward China and North Korea.
Despite the fact that this hacking occurred back in September, about this case has been reported only today, before the Sino-Japanese summit on security issues. Most likely, the Japanese government with the help of this information is trying to make the desired boost to this meeting, being held in Tokyo.
Some documents on defense issues are expected to be signed, however, Beijing, after signing agreement between Japan and South Korea on the exchange of the intelligence data, is not so sympathetic towards Tokyo (than a few weeks ago, when the meeting was scheduled). Perhaps, against the backdrop of "strengthening the North Korean threat", which is a fictitious but effective argument; the documents will be signed without any delay.
