Northrop Grumman Gets $600Mln Boost on Missile Defense Contract
US defense contractor Northrop Grumman has won an addition to a previous $3.2 billion Missile Defense Agency contract to integrate US Ballistic Missile Defense Systems, the Department of Defense announced.
Northrop Grumman would support the further development of integrated missile defense capabilities and support wargame command and control procedures, operational concepts and information technology (IT) services, the Defense Department noted.
"Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corporation [of] Colorado Springs, Colorado, is being awarded a modification to [a] previously awarded… contract… [worth] $600 million," the announcement stated on Tuesday.
The work would be carried out at US Air Force bases in the states of Colorado, Alabama, Hawaii, Virginia, New Mexico, Alaska, Florida and California, the Defense Department added.
