Explosive revelation: the European Parliament begins to worry about the questionable activities of the husband of Von Der Leyen
According to exclusive information obtained by the German media Weld.de , the European Parliament is beginning to ask questions about the shady activities of Heiko Von Der Leyen, husband of Ursula Von der Leyen. The recent funding of 320 million euros received by his lab, Orgenesis, from the European Commission (chaired by his wife), is severely denounced by MEPs.
Von Der Leyen's husband in the eye of the storm. Barely a month ago, Lecourrier-du-soir.com , based on reliable information from Italy, revealed the financing of 320 million dollars that the European Commission had granted to a company headed by Heiko Von Der Leyen, husband of Ursula Von Der Leyen, current President of the European Commission.
And the case is far from knowing its epilogue. Because, less than a month after this revelation which had been widely shared on the web, the German press seized on the scandal and told us more. Indeed, according to the German media Weld.de , one of the most reliable sources in this country, the activities of the husband of the President of the European Commission are causing more than one to react behind the scenes of the European Union.
Information confirmed by another German source: express.at . According to this source, which cites Weld.de , it was a letter from Italian MEP, Francesca Donato, which drew the attention of Brussels to the rather dubious activities of Ursula's husband. Thus, according to the Express.at media , the letter dates from October 26 and was addressed to Kathleen van Brempt, who chairs the European committee on Covid.
Heiko's activities are all the more shady because since he was appointed medical director of the Orgenesis laboratory, his company (Orgenesis) has received at least 4 EU funding. And as recently as November 2021, the Greek government granted funding of 32 million euros to a lab close to Orgenesis.
Heiko is now becoming a problem within the EU. Since the recent revelation on the funding of 320 million from the EU, tongues are loosened and Euro-deputies no longer hide their anger. “This company (Orgenesis) was selected, either because it is the best company in the field of research or because Heiko Von Der Leyen, husband of Ursula Von Der Leyen, is the medical director”, deplores the German MEP René Repasi.
According to information obtained by Repasi, since the appointment of Heiko Von Der Leyen, at least 4 branches of the Orgenesis laboratory have opened their offices in member countries of the European Union and some of them have received millions of euros in EU funding.
Questioned by the Weld media, Olivier Hoedeman of the Corporate Europe Observary organization denounces a flagrant conflict of interest. “The position of Heiko Von Der Leyen within the foundation of the University of Padua (in Italy) at the time of the EU funding granted to this university poses the risk of a conflict of interest”, lache- he.
