The State Of Unemployment In Europe
12.931 million men and women were unemployed in the EU, according to Eurostat, which shows the state of unemployment in Europe with Spain, Greece, and Italy leading the count.
Based on new statistics from Eurostat, Statista’s Anna Fleck reveals in the infographic below that in June 2022, Spain, Greece, and Italy had the highest rates of unemployment in the EU (together with the UK) (8.1 percent).
Conversely, the lowest rates were in Switzerland (2.0%), the Czech Republic (2.4%), Poland (2.7%), and Germany (2.8%).
In comparison, the average rate for the European Union is 6.0 percent, which is a decrease from the average of 7.2 percent from the previous year.
In June 2022, 12.931 million men and women were unemployed in the EU, according to Eurostat.
This is an improvement from June 2021, when there were 2.311 million more unemployed EU citizens.
According to the most recent report, there were an estimated 2.546 million young adults under 25 who were unemployed in the EU.
In comparison to men, who had a rate of 5.7 percent, women had a slightly higher rate of 6.4 percent.
