Terrorist Ringleader Unveils Saudi Intelligence Plot To Partition Iran
The SMLA has been fighting the Iranian government in an armed battle to split the southwestern province of Khuzestan. During trial, terrorist ringleader unveiled a Saudi intelligence plot to partition Iran and separate the regions.
On Sunday, Habib Farajollah Chaab, otherwise known as Habib Asyud, went on trial in Tehran’s Islamic Revolution Court Branch 26, reports PressTV.
Following the founding of the Islamic Awakening movement, Amin Vaziri, the prosecutor’s representative, stated Chaab revealed that the Saudi intelligence service wanted to unify all extremist and separatist activities underneath an unified umbrella organization to confront Iran.
He went on to say that the Saudi intelligence organization has also developed multiple satellite channels in order to facilitate Iran’s split.
According to Chaab, Saudi-sponsored satellite stations broadcast films and other visual material 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to propagate violence throughout Iran.
According to Vaziri, the terrorist commander also admitted that Saudi Arabia had supported terrorist organizations with the intention of propagating Takfiri doctrine in Iran.
The prosecutor’s representative stated that the defendant founded a terrorist organization to commit acts of terrorism in Iran and collaborated with anti-Iran terror organizations such as PJAK and Jaish ul-Adl.
Chaab, the commander of the terrorist group known as the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (SMLA), was apprehended by Iranian security agents in November 2020 after a series of “specialized and combined measures.”
The SMLA has been fighting the Iranian government in an armed battle to split the southwestern province of Khuzestan, which is home to the country’s Arab population, from the remainder of Iran.
It took credit for a military parade attack in Ahvaz, the provincial capital of Khuzestan, in September 2018, which massacred 25 people, including members of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and civilian spectators, and injured 70 more.
