Faced with the increase in cases noted in recent days, the Israeli government no longer excludes the hypothesis of a fourth dose to curb the progression of the virus which has already started to infect people who have yet taken a third dose.

The State of Israel is studying the hypothesis of a 4th dose to curb the spread of the virus on its soil. In this country, once considered the champion of vaccination, the number of cases has continued to increase in recent days, plunging the health authorities into an extremely difficult situation, to the point that they are now considering a 4th dose to immunize the population.

At least that is the information that Lecourrier-du-soir.com obtained on November 25 from the Israeli media, Times Of Israel. According to this source, the Israeli Minister of Health, Nitzan Hotowitz, brandished this hypothesis during an interview with Channel 12 . “It is not crazy to think that we will need a 4th dose,” he said.

“9% of people positive for Covid had yet taken three doses”

The information was confirmed by the Jewish outlet, JewishPress.com . Indeed, according to this source, 9% of the 605 cases detected on Tuesday come from people already vaccinated with a 3rd dose. 76% were not vaccinated and 11% saw their immunity disappear, according to the news site.

It should be noted that in Israel, the situation has deteriorated sharply in recent days, giving rise to fears of a 5th wave while, quite recently, the health authorities have continued to welcome the improvement in the situation which , in reality, was only a sham.
