The outgoing US President Barack Obama on Friday left the White House, to pass power to his successor elected president of the United States Donald Trump.
According to the existing tradition, Barack Obama left the White House, leaving in his office a letter to Trump.
The contents of the letter were not disclosed.
American television showed footage of Obama's exit from the building.
At the request of the journalists to say something for the American people, Obama said, "Thank you."
