Of Kings and Queens

Why do we still have Kings and Queens and Princes and Princesses today? Who made these people ROYALTY? Not God.

“The thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.” 1 Samuel 8:6-7

God is the only King.

A government is supposed to be a tool to serve the People. That’s why those in government are called Ministers or Secretaries.

Minister is from the Latin Minister meaning Servant and the root word for Minister is Minor meaning Small.

Secretary is from the Latin Secretarius meaning a Confidential Employee.

As for President it is from the Latin word Praesidere meaning To Preside, like an overseer overseeing the affairs of the People.

Royalties on the other hand are Parasites feeding at the trough of the People’s hard work. And unfortunately so have become many Presidents, Ministers, and Secretaries.

Every government employee is a servant of the People. Unfortunately, a good number of them don’t seem to understand that.
